Hello
after upgrading a terminalserver to window server 2022, some users who have url-redirection enabled, can not use this anymore.
If I create a new userprofile on terminalserver for the user, url redirection work as expected.
My question is: where does parallels store this information in userprofile / registry ?
may i know which parallel RAS Version you are using.
We are using: Parallels Remote Application Server Version 19.3.1 (build 24624)
If the Windows Server was upgraded in-place instead of via a fresh install, you can try to reapply the settings by toggling the URL Redirection option “Replace registered application”. After toggling it twice, the settings related settings should have been reapplied. The documentation for this section can be viewed here.
You might want to try this also for a Windows Server that was installed.
If this does NOT work for you, I highly suggest to contact Parallels Support directly as it might be an environment related issue. If possible, provide them also with information about the application from where the URL is being launched and an example URL along with the server-side URL Redirection settings.
In Parallels RAS, URL redirection settings are typically stored in:
- User Profile: Check C:\Users<username>\AppData\Local\Parallels for configuration files.
- Registry: Look under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Parallels\RAS for related keys.
- Group Policy: Inspect any relevant Group Policy settings.
To fix issues with existing profiles, try:
- Resetting Settings: Rename or delete the Parallels profile folder.
- Registry Cleanup: Remove conflicting settings if necessary.
- Permissions: Ensure users have the right permissions.
For persistent issues, consult Parallels documentation or support.
