How come I can't use my browser extensions in the isolated browser environment?

I rely on certain extensions like an ad blocker and a password manager, but they don’t work at all when I use Parallel Browser Isolation. Why is this happening, and is there a way to make them work?

It’s actually pretty common with browser isolation tools like that. Parallel Browser Isolation essentially isolates your browsing session from your main system environment. This means that extensions you install in your regular browser, like an ad blocker or password manager, won’t function inside the isolated session.

So, the isolation is the reason they aren’t working? But why does that stop them from functioning?

Yep, that’s the main issue. Extensions rely on direct access to your browser environment, but in isolation, those extensions are blocked from interacting with the isolated session. The isolation creates a completely separate virtual environment where your usual extensions don’t have the permissions they need to function properly.

Got it. So, is there any way to make them work in that isolated environment?

There are a couple of things you can try. Some isolation tools let you configure exceptions or enable specific features for extensions. You could check if Parallel Browser Isolation has any settings to allow extensions to run or if there’s an option to sync your ad blocker or password manager between your main environment and the isolated one.
