Can't install autocad

I’ve been trying to install a proprietary version of auto CAD in parallels and it seems to have an issue copying the file destination. I have deleted it a few times and tried to reinstall it with no luck. I’m sure that there is a simple workaround to this, but I am just not technically Savvy enough to do that. Can anybody help me with this, I’m happy to pay.

Steps to Resolve:

  1. Verify System Requirements:
  • Ensure the version of AutoCAD you are installing is compatible with the operating system in your Parallels virtual machine (VM).
  1. Check Disk Space:
  • Confirm that the VM has sufficient disk space for the AutoCAD installation. Sometimes, installation fails if there isn’t enough free space.
  1. Run Installer as Administrator:
  • Right-click on the installation file and choose “Run as Administrator” to give the installer elevated permissions.
  1. Check File Path:
  • Make sure the file path does not contain any special characters or spaces that might conflict with the installer.
  • For example, avoid paths like C:\Program Files (x86)\AutoCAD@2024 and use simple paths like C:\AutoCAD.
  1. Disable Antivirus/Firewall:
  • Temporarily disable antivirus or firewall software in both the host and the VM. These can sometimes block installation files.
  1. Check Sharing Settings in Parallels:
  • If you’re accessing installation files from the host macOS, ensure that file sharing between the host and VM is properly configured.
  • Open Parallels > Configure > Options > Sharing and confirm that the shared folders are enabled.
  1. Copy Installer Files Locally:
  • Instead of running the installer from a shared folder or an external drive, copy the entire installation package to a local drive within the VM and run it from there.
